Years ago, slides were the most convenient photographic medium, except when prints were desired. Direct positive to print is expensive, so an internegative was often made, which may not have had the correct contrast. Now, film scanners have made slide processing easier than ever.

Here is a raw and processed image of a Seattle scene taken in 1978. This is a slide from motion picture film. The slides are much easier to process than the negative film. |
