Naomi Cat This is Naomi as she was. She died on Nov. 9,  2001 at 18+ years.  Though in intense pain, she at first refused to go; now the pain is gone.  She had been showing her age and slowly dying.  She had been the runt of the litter in June 1983.   She had died during the first attempt to spay her but was brought back to life. Ether was used as anesthetic the second time, but the tubes damaged her vocal chords. She had an unusual, expressive voice. She belonged to Carolyn, but she was very independent. She was an only cat who lived with cats named Agatha, Teeka,  and Clyde, whom she deleted from the site.  She was cranky in her old age, and she especially hated Dr. Laura (I am not coyote food!)
Here are the eleven kitten from the Summer of 1983. Naomi's aunt Misti had three like-colored pairs. Cindy had five varied kittens. Naomi is the third from the right.
Dennis with cat Puss This is Naomi's friend Dennis with his cat Puss (1952 - 1962) in 1957. Puss may have been a rare male calico cat.
